Reason why the server is down.

First of all, we are not closed forever, no Nexon didn't close us. We are actualy getting attacked/hacked/DDoSed at the moment and our company is being gay about it, so they temp turn us down....

- 22/01/2012 01:37 Alpha:The Dedi's internet went down about 10 times under 2 hours, even after a restart. Getting quite annoying since all my user get disconnected, it make them think the server is not stable and leave.
Can you please look into my issue and attempt to fix it?

I don't see anything strange in the traffic graphs, maybe someone ddossed a service on the server which caused users to disconnect. This doesn't mean there is a network problem. There are no known issues here.

Since we shutdown the client there has not been any traffic spikes. If you are currently still having problems it might be caused by this IP 174.36.220.71. xx.xxx.xxx.xxx is receiving most traffic from that IP.

Our job is not to protect you from DDoS, it's without doubt your job to protect yourself by all possible means.
99% of companies will null route your IP address (preventing any bandwidth to go through a specific IP address) instantly without any option of retrieving it.
DDoS attacks are not acceptable and no company wants users who get DDoS attacks simply because as you see it's a true headache to us and to other customers who are suffering from it.
We are not like other companies, we want you to stay with us and we want to help you with your business but just like you and anyone else, we do not have a wonder-solution to stop the DDoS, but we do have to take some action as it is simply not fair that attacks on your server affect other customers.

And yes, we do have some DDoS protection that usually can prevent complete network crashes from happening but that in no way means we want DDoSed customers on our network.
If we were to unblock you, do you believe you will be able to block the source of the DDoS?

Yeah people be patient Alpha is working hard to get the dedi up for us but it continues to be attacked, i suggest you do something else til They resolve this problem, which means not to complain in chatbox and just do something else until the server is back up and running.

As Jeff said. Even I can't find the source of the IP nor can Alpha or Maple fucking hosting...they are noobs but yeah.
To put it blankly, someone has no life that DDoS's us 24/7. We are trying to resolve the issue and Alpha is working hard so you complain I mute you for a week until we get back up.

Not To Worry! Our server was hacked once ! we saveed it even tho we got rolledback ALOT. We
still did it ^^ . I know alpha and the others got this ~

well since the server is down, i say the community should band together and hang out til the situation blows over.
like play other games, go on xat chat, or go on skype/tinychat and talk/webcam with fellow players and even staff
Mac and I do karaoke btw, and uitaka is a dying cat

Well thank you for telling us hope we got soon the date of the day when its all be fixed and comes up I won't miss this day when it be on.
