My character is gone!!!

My character disappear!!! I was hunting in the temple of time, then i got disconnected from the server, i tried to start the game again, but it says "we are unable to connect to the login server due to a server check" so i thought is really a server check. I waited.....tick.....tock.....tick...
tock.....tick......tock" And finally 2 hours later i can start the game, i type my account and in to the world selection, there is only one world so i just click on a ramdom channel...and that is when i notice my character DISSAPEARS!!!! I make a new character and play through it again, then i got disconnected from the server, i run the game again, my character is gone, completly vanish, Please is it possible to retrieve my character, i not mad to start again but i'm terribly frustrated every time i need to make a new character to play. Is there any why to recover my old character???????? Twisted Evil

There is currently a problem with rollbacks, so I would personally recommended you don't re-create a character until it's fixed but since the cilent is down right now, I'm pretty sure they're trying to fix the rollback issue.

Just, wait for a bit and re-create your character once the game is up once again.

Tell us when you began on playing this server.
There were known issues with source which is being fixed.
So there is a chance that your character is rolled back./

i started playing with my first character 2 days ago and my second charter 1 day ago, i tried today and my 2nd character is gone.

That's actually kinda weird, the roll-back didn't go back THAT far, it merely rolled back to about a few hours ago? Or I might just be stupid and mis-calculated. Anywho! Just re-make your 2nd character once the server is back up.

Then your character is rolled back.
You can't access it anymore since it is deleted.

Nah, unless another roll back occurs but they're fixing it now, so let's hope not.

but let say if i got like 14 rebirths if another roll back occurs do that mean i need to restart?

Not really.
Depends on situation.
Problems with saving (depends when they started ) = You will have chance to don't loose anything
Data loose = You will loose everything that you gained after xx/xx/xx.

last question, isn't possible to know if a roll back will occur and isn't possible to prevent is?

Not really, most you can do is to remember to @save often to minimise the lost of items/rebirths and etc.

@save may not work if there is problems in source with saving.

It worked for one of my friends, there was a rollback and I lost the custom hair from FM 23 but he still had it because he was @save-ing like a fiend.
