CANNOT CONNECT ERRORS READ ME BEFORE POSTING UPDATED

Okay guys I see many of you are having problems logging on and installing
I would like to stop posting the same guide since most people don't read the other threads on the same problem
I have made you all a nice easy simple guide to make it work and installed properly
this is a reminder this isn't for everyone only people who are connecting to global / cant connect / run it from desktop
if you have any questions feel free to ask I don't mind helping if its in my ability to do so

okay to start off

Important things to remember common errors you might encounter please read this part

- if you get a unable to connect to the log in server due to a server check, firewall block or other network issuse please check the maplestory homepage for ongoing server check as well as fire wall settings
dont worry heres what to do go into your chaos folder

• find the "Redirector.ini" [ it looks like a note pad with a gear on bottom left after you open it it will look like this]

[Main]
WindowName = MapleStory

[Server]
IP = 69.162.95.203
Port = 8484

• change the last number of the ip address in there like this

[Main]
WindowName = MapleStory

[Server]
IP = 69.162.95.205
Port = 8484

• from what ever its on usually a 2 to a diffrent number [from 2-5 only]

• then save and enjoy

- if you start and it connect to gms{GlobalMapleStory or a diffrent server} this could me 1 of many things

• 1 need to turn off your antivirus and Reextract/reinstall

• 2 have dont have DChaos in your c:nexon folder in my computer or have more then one in there

• 3 download the new client fix and run the batch file or aka bat file

• 4 download my new client[note*if you downloaded the new client the fix is in there already]extract the client fix as well put it into the Dchaos folder along with the new clien and replace all

• also make sure that if you pulled a booboo and updated it delete and rextract the client

- if you get missing files like ijl15.dll missing

• this means you need to turn off your antivirus and extract again

• after you extract add it to your acceptance list

• turn your antivirus back on and your good to go

- OMFG I GOT AN ERROR 38 WHT TO DO?????

• just reopen the game use the bat file or exe Durpz

• thiis caused by a random dc, lag, skill ect so just relog and your fine

- OH NOES it says im already logged on what am i going to do GM PLZZZ HELP UNSTUCK MEHZZZZ

• no sweat just go to log in page and type unstuckme keep doing that until it tells you have the wrong password then log in normally

• just so everyone knows website log in isnt working atm so just use the unstuckme as password

- Disconnected after pic or client not starting up

• this is most likely caused by a loop back or you need the new client

• to disable loopback refere to this thread it may help you guys

OMFG oh noe my acc is glicthed or it says already logged on incorrect info

• relax you dont need a gm or anything just type unstuckme as your password when trying to log in then log in normally

• if that dont work restart your client

• if that dont do anything restart computer and modem

Okay lets get started here is my easy to follow 8 simple steps to get open beta working

1 Delete {make sure the folder where you keep game is deleted}if you dont want to delete you will need the bat [explained later] and you will also need to move any otherserver in nexon into a diffrent folder/desktop

• for this you might want to use remove programs in control panel

• note you can skip this step if you decide you want to keep other servers and download the bat

• if it dosnt work you might still need to delete all other versions of maple first

2 Restart your computer

• this is for the delete to take effect

3 Reinstall maplestory don't launch {no need update} and any version is fine

• just need it to create the file path in c:nexon that your computer will reconize

• These 3 steps is optional and not everyone needs to do these 3 steps only if the delete, and install dosnt work ,then do this. remember if it didn't work your going to need to redo starting with step one, so you might want to just do a quick restart anyway's after you delete before you extract to turn off your antivirus if you get missing files error explained at the bottom

4 If you havent already downloaded the 5 RaR install files do it and extract

• *note~make sure all 5 files in 1 place right click part 1 extract here

5 Now go Download the New Client
If you dont know where they can be found here for conveinence i added the fix in there too and changed the ip address for you[NEW UPLOAD]

• Note if you decide you still want to play GMS or other servers you will need the bacth file its already in the new client download its named client fix just extract aswell although I don't know why you would Want to play any other serversDChaosRULES

6 Extract and replace the files in the files into the Dchaos folder

• be sure to read the important readme.txt it's labeled important for a reason

• if you downloaded the new client you will need to extract 2 times 1 for the new client then 1 for new client fix thats located inside the rar and replace all into the chaos folder

7 Copy / drag the while folder into your C:\nexon folder {make sure its the whole maple story folder not just the files}

8 Enjoy

i dont have to get gms to sticky it
if they find it useful they will sticky it on their own
if you do decide to sticky it feel free to add/ remove things
i will add more stuff as i get it and find fixes for it

anyways that was off topic on topic what log in bug may you be speaking of?

I put in my username and password, and this pops up.

are you clicking the blue Dchaos icon or the mushroom house
looks like your on the GMS login thats not our login screen
when you start up dose it start up dose hacksheild pop up
and that screen with the play button if so you did somthing wrong
please note that you cant have gms or any other V110+ server installed if you do put the batch file in download it its the one credited to TheDevilHeart
and run it after extraction if everythings right you should be at a custom blue log in screen

I get runtime error >.<

when do you get it?
right when u run?
if you do delete turn off antivirus and reextract/ install
make sure the folder you extracted is in the in the C:nexon folder

I have it inn nexon folder and it are some little maple other folder there too and i think i have turned off antivirus and i get runtime error when i change hair.

just change you hair black first
before changing the style
and make sure you have downloaded all 5 rars
and extracted them properly be sure to have the newest client out

if you dont then yes
you also need the newest client from the website
if you follow my guide you cant mess up and will have everything you need

I have doned the rar and i still get dced and 1% not found...

did you delete cache history and cookies ?

I try opening it and nothing appears. I checked my windows task manager to see if it was running or not and it just appears in processes D.ChaosMs.exe along with Maplestory.exe then disappears. I tried downloading the .bat file and it copied it to the folder and it still doesn't work. Any idea on how to fix?

do you have the folder you extracted in your c:nexon folder?

Yes it's in c:nexon. I tried adding it as an exception to my fire wall and anti virus and also turned them off just to make sure there wasn't anything preventing it from closing. I followed every step.

Question: I downloaded my maplestory again (without patching) do i need to overwrite the file with the DChaosMs Maplestory File or can i just move it to a different location?
