I was inspired by my friend when she made me this background thingy

Good try Very Happy but I suggest getting some new brushes if your using Photoshop. I suggest some smoke-like brushes to create those black smoky effects on your friend's background.

Contrast too high, splatters don't match at all, the place where the color changes (on the diamonds) is not blended well at all. The placement of the diamonds need to be changed.

Also, you can also merge your lightings with the background as long as it is on a different layer. Just my advice even though I'm a newbie to Photoshop Razz
