Still practicing (IMO Failing :c)
HERRO ALL ! ITS BEEN AWHILE SINCE I POSTED AND LOOKED FUR CNC but now I'm in a stuck-position where I don't know how to progress / get better so any type of CNC would be great ^^!
I'm a lot better from what I used to do, Its not that gradient (orisitouo) anymore but I still feel I can improve.
-Currently: Learning how to make weapons/clothing cause I just can't figure out how to do a perfect outline for them.

Please joe. Do you have any idea what CnC Is? It IS Very Unproportioned. I'm giving CnC.
If i was doing what you were doing. Let's say she think's she's very good and commits the same mistake over and over again. You're the one not contributing.
I'm no genius but at least i know that telling someone that their good won't help them do jacks shit to improve. I Thought You Would Understand That Logic Joe. Being older than me. I guess i was very wrong.

Yes,yes exactly as HolyBelief Said:

Hello guys, I am making this thread because I have seen people rage
quitting from harsh criticism. A lot of people misunderstood those harsh
criticism rules. They thought it meant trash talk into people's work.
It's really not, it means good and long criticism or only good
criticism. Harsh criticism is the best thing in the world to make people
improve, leaving the flaws behide.
Harsh CnC is Constructive Criticism that goes into depth of the person's work.
It highlights the flaws and mistakes of a piece of work. It makes the
creator realize what he/she has done wrong, and encourages him/her to
try to resolve the flaws. People mostly use Harsh CnC because it's quick
and simple. You tell the creator right on what's wrong with the piece
of work. You won't have to baby him/her into thinking there's a flaw in
it. I hope people notice that we, the critics, are not trying to shoot
you down, we are trying to help you to become better. What's the point
of improving if you can't even spot your flaws that needs fixing? That's
why we're here to make sure you know where your flaws are and actually,
learn from your mistakes.
You guys need to understand how this criticism type works. Do not deny it,
let it help you to improve. If you want regular criticism or nothing at
all, just tell us. It won't help you to improve if you didn't get any
criticisms anyway.
We are not trying to be mean to you,
Amen.

i have to say i don't agree with your concept of CnC either. i don't think you understand what CnC is. out of the four hairstyles he or she posted, you only referred to a single one, about which you said was 'unproportioned', a very vague idea which doesn't really help.

CnC is supposed to be a balance between highlighting both the flaws of a piece, so the artist knows what to fix, AND the good parts, so they know what to work around/ highlight. nobody is asking you to tell everyone that you love their art, but when did that hurt anyone? if you just point out the bad stuff in an artist's work, you'll only discourage them, and in my book that's not helping them either.
that being said, the last hair's placement really is off. try and work with a character base. that way it'll be easier to check out if everything looks right. also, your highlights look good, but there's not enough contrast to the shadows, and this makes the strands and hair itself lack definition. my favorite of them is definitely the third one, but in concept and in color choice. you really seem to have a knack for this sort of thing. keep practicing and you'll be a pro in no time :"3
