Again, I don't know all this anime stuff you guys like but I find the weapon a bit too blurry for it to be Maple-like.

It's not from any anime. It also is supposed to look a bit blurry down the center, since it's crystalline.

Right when I saw it, I thought it was related to the buster sword in FF (as you've mentioned already).
I love all the effects that you've done, especially that glow. +.+
