Client crashes when choosing a character.

Title says it all. The game launches fine but when I click on my character in the selection screen, the game crashes and I get the error message

You have disconnected from the login server. Please try again later.

Warned for triple posting.

1) Have you tried another account or a new character?
2) Have you tried connecting to other channels?
3) Have you tried choosing another job like using an Explorer?
4) What operating system are you on?
5) Do you have Microsoft Loopback Adapter installed?

1. Yes and it still fails.

3. I tried the Aran, the Explorer and the KoC, all crash

I did that. Twice.

Have you checked your firewalls? or even antiviruses? they can be a hassle a lot of the time. i would also try running the exe as admin to see is that helps.

I don't know why, but it seems to happen to people creating Aran from the character creation page.

After hearing exactly what happened before the PIC Crash started, and seeing Chronos's video of what happens exactly, I can say with confidence that this "bug" is actually a MAC Ban.

It's happened to me before, and under the following circumstances.
Newly opened server, new character creation, class set as Aran.

And then I crashed on the moment of creation. When I reopened client, I couldn't get past the PIC without crashing, no matter what I did to my client, my account, or my laptop, it still happened. I even totally wiped my laptop and ran a clean install. Nothing. After a long discussion with the owner of that server, we came to the conclusion that I'd been MAC banned from the server. He unbanned me, and it was fixed.

The reason this happens is because Aran isn't fully coded, and isn't recognized as a legitimate class. So the client thinks you're hacking into the broken Aran class, and automatically adds your computer's MAC Address to the banlist.


The only way to fix it is if the Staff manually removes the affected players from the MAC Banlist.

You've been removed from the MAC Bans list along with like 30 other people. I've also fixed the aran bug that the above people are talking about and you can now connect.

Also, I didn't understand your error at first so that's actually my bad. I thought you meant you got Unable to connect to game server and you got kicked back to login, not your whole client crashing giving you the disconnection.

yea im currently having this issue at the moment as well, the last thing i did was change my job from explorer mage (demon slayer)
