Game refuses to open.

Hi, I'm new to Chaos MS.
I downloaded everything in which I assume would be correctly...
However, when I double click the client, the game just doesn't open. In fact, nothing at all comes up. Nothing happens at all.
I've snooped around the forums, and it seems a couple of people in the past have had the same problem, but neither were resolved...
My loopback adapter is disabled, I already tried the compatibility fix, and I always run as administrator.

A solution would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Did you give an exception path for your antivirus? That may be the reason because the application is indeed running, however, since you may have no given a path for your antivirus to accept it on your computer, it will automatically just shut down.

Hrmm, yes.
Well I have Webroot, and it's so confusing, as it seems to not allow me to make exceptions? At least there is no tab that I can see... I've tried googling for some help, but all of the answers are a year+ old, and there have been changes and etc etc...
Can anyone help me?

I've added the .exe to my list of exceptions and it still doesn't work. :S

Not the .exe, but the entire folder where the game resides. For example:

C:\User\Desktop\ChaosMS

It won't let me select a folder.
Should I just select all of the files in the folder?

Umm.
When I downloaded the 11 parts of the game, I used winrar to unzip it, and it gave me this second .rar file... I didn't get an .exe, as the video download instructions seemed to have... I unzipped the .rar and i got a folder with a star in it called D.ChaosMS EX v.83..
Have I done this correctly?

You can use only part 1 and it works really good. Its what i use .

Download all 11 parts, if you can extract them without any problem then that's good. Next, extract the DChaos rar file. When that happens you should be able to run the game, assuming you gave an exception to your antivirus. If you haven't, the game won't load.

Welp, I tried it with only part one, and then I scanned the folder with my antivirus, but it didn't pick anything up. So really, there shouldn't be a problem.

Only add the .exe to your exceptions/exclusions. The .BAT, .WZ, .TXT files don't get scanned, reason why the .exe only gets a threat warning. There is a separate download just for the client. That client should work.

If i'm not wrong there is already a client in the setup?if there isn't download 1 from the website.

The .exe DOESN'T get a threat warning, that's the problem. NOTHING in the folder does. I don't think it's a problem with my antivirus. :U

Hmm..very strange. I've received private reports upon this matter. When I get an answer, I will post my results. Even if I have to necropost.

my D. ChaosMS client doesn't detects as virus.

1.Check your firewall that it's not blocking the game
2.Make sure your files aren't corrupted

Oh, it's not going to open anymore ultimo. Try applying to play the beta, and if not the beta, wait until the v112 server for DChaos is out!
