Everytime I select a char

Every time I click on a character and select it, the game goes in but my screen turns black and then it's stuck. It says that Maplestory is not responding. Any help?

This means the map you're trying to enter is bugged. Therefore, it will not let you load in. The server has restarted, this issue should be resolved now.
