Programming Question
Hi guys I'm thinking of taking up programming.
I've messed with Javascript, Java, and Visual Basic
What language do you think I should start with?

Re: Programming Question
python's a pretty good choice.
take your pick here, this place teaches a lot of stuff:
www.codecademy.com
I'm learning javascript right now, while I'm learning assembly language and machine organization in class.

Re: Programming Question
I'd still say python, or java or javascript.
once you learn the basics of a high level language you can apply that knowledge to any of the other languages, with a few differences in syntax and maybe some exclusive traits here and there.

Re: Programming Question
I second Java and JavaScript since they're so widely used, though it's probably a good idea of what you're aiming to do with it otherwise if you learn something unnecessary, it'd be waste.

Re: Programming Question
Learn those two after you learn an easy one. No sense in getting more frustrated than you need to be. Trust me, this shit gets annoying sometimes.
