the story that i read was something like, muriel worked her way up in nexon company to get money and get married with her boyfriend.
once she did, she got ranked as manager or something and got married happily (and she made bob the snail her husband)
then one day, one of her workers did a prank on her which made her angry. with this, she put an embarrassing picture of her worker as the background of sleepywood.
~~ and then the worker got angry annd killed her on the night that she was afking in perion in her office.

Interesting, but i obviously think the player guy was joking :3

that's a pretty nice story line but. There could be numerous other stories..

But the proved fact by Nexon corp. is that she was a respected staff in Nexon < Maplestory corps> and she "died" ( no one knows)

---- the file was mysteriously implemented into MS clients and database. And the staff didn't find out until, complaints came in from the whole world..

They found it out, and not so long ago, they fixed (patched) the effect.

v83 still had the g.xf "Muriel" in the file.

NEWS FROM NEXON

Two GM's liked to prank each other, and took it as far as putting Easter eggs in the game.
GM "A" posted somewhere in Sleepywood a very transparent image of "Muriel" (the other GM) as his prank.

Muriel retaliated, and did something, then GM A retaliated again, which ended up killing GM Muriel's character.
As a final coded prank, they ceased with Muriel's Ghost NPC in the game, which do odd things to characters if confronted.
