Info on a ban.

Alright people. Lets get this clear.

It has come to my intention that people think that not being able to log in means theyre banned.

I REPEAT. SIMPLY NOT BEING ABLE TO LOG IN IS NOT MEANING THAT YOURE BANNED.

If you were banned..


1. You would get a message that says "your connection has been blocked or your account has been deleted". No "Server Inspection" shit.
A server inspection note doesnt mean that youve been banned. Everyone can get that. All you have to do is type "unstuckme" as your password and then try to login once it tells you that the password you enterd was incorrect. You then login with the normal password.
Once again, dont expect that automaticly.

2. If you were banned, you wouldn't be able to get to your char select screen. A DC on pic doesn't mean you've been banned.

3. You're not banned if you get DCed right after logging in.

4. You're not banned if you have a "Already logged in" message after a DC. Nor does that mean you were hacked.

5. Getting an ERROR -2147 or something doesnt mean youre banned. It means you were DCed cause of an item not being in your files, or some other reason of the sort.

STUFF YOU MIGHT GET IF YOU WERE BANNED:

1. If you were not IP banned, but Banned, you would log in with your acc, but a message that says : You have been blocked from the server, or ETC. And you would not be able to log in

2. If you were Ip banned, YES what I put up there about the server inspection stuff has its exceptions. But you would be able to OPEN the game, get the black loading screen, THEN get the message. But then again, check if the server is down or not.

3. If you were temp banned, you would be in the same case as a normal ban, but with a --/--/---- indicating the time you have been banned for.

Anyway, if I missed or messed up anything, edit it or tell me.

Just tired of people who complain to not being able to log in 3 times while the server is down.

We will not unban you unless you use the formats and please, please make it clear.

For real. It's a pain in the ass having to sift through this garbage when checking for unban appeals.

I DCED and now I am banned (((( UNABLE TO CONNETX TOO SURVER.

It's hard to go through real ban appeals with this on every 5 posts.

this needs to be stickied lol. My initial reaction is to delete their thread lol. But a "please follow the format" will point them in the right direction XD

What about a Unable to log in server? ... well im like 80% sure im banned for no reason.

you should make a 2nd part
where it says the things it would say if you were banned
to help everyone decide if they are banned or not
for exsample
you cannot/ unable connect to the server or w.e.
im sure you know what i mean it would probably help alot of people
decide if they have been banned or not

now this is definely worth of a sticky

i think when your ip banned the game wont open
it will just crash and say you are unable to connect to server try again later
or you cannot connect to the server for so and so reason somthing like that
and im not sure about this but i i think you can be ip banned
but your acc is still able to log in i think this is a way alpha uses to check for ddosers
dont take my word on this 100% but it happened to be
i was ip banned after a crash my friend logged on my acc fine
everyone was on but i got the unable to connect to server
i made a ban appeal and cuple hours later i was able to get on again
after pming alpha and making a ban appeal
i was just ip banned randomly to check if i was the ddoser

what fix i have nothing broken F3

Is it a ban if I get this every time I open the client?(no I cant even get to the login screen or anything like that, it just sits at my desktop then the error comes up)
