Sword art online possible in the near future?

If they can develop this enough... ohmygod.

If sword art online becomes a game I'd fucking play it.But...what if we all are going to be stuck in the game like in the anime.Oh god why.

Being able to visualize a virtual world within a headset, and at all times be connected through a network... Also, our generation... isn't the best, so this kind of virtualization won't be available for like. Decades or something.

I'm positive that the headset reads and stimulates your brainwaves because to play it, you need to be in a sleep-like mode. Besides, isn't the game in a chip that you insert into the headset? I'm guessing that it extracts data into your brain or something. o-o

It'd be easier, I guess, because the first producer of a similar game to SAO irl would probably use anime figures, instead of analyzing the entire body and making us look like humans.

Lag in SAO would be amazing.

Yeah, and video games started with pong and now you have almost real-looking video games.
And technology is getting better.
Have you ever heard of Moore's law? It says every 8 to 12 years technology doubles.
And considering the fair amount of technology, "double" is quite the shit. So it won't take long before VR.

I watched a bit of .hack//SIGN, when it aired on an anime television channel (Which went off-air because they stopped airing anime, and just aired 1 SINGLE western show), and it was too slow paced for me as far as I remember.

Yet, since I'm not an idiot, I noticed that many people may like that.
