Replacing CPU... Help me.
Okay, so I plan on upgrading my Alienware M18x, just to kick it up a notch. I know how to change the RAM so that's no problem, it's very easy to get to. However, for the CPU I have to completely fucking disassemble the whole laptop, just to get to that fucker. SHIT. Any tips, how I should approach to this?

Ask a professional. Do we look like we're professionals? Most of our community is only 10~14.

Sky no offence here, but our community is not tech savy enough to help you with that. Have you tried you tube? They have a lot of those DIY videos over there

I hate to agree, but yeah. Try Ehow.com. It has loads of tutorials available.

A simple question turned into an argument. Please be more respectful of others. (Unless you have a reason to hate.) But seriously.

We're a nice lot TBH, we just have our days. As Knives said try eHow.com; though I'd rather not mess with a computer innards since I'm more or less technology challenged

Re: Replacing CPU... Help me.
well since your doing that remove the batteries first through the bottom
use a screw driver to remove the latch once that's done look for something that looks like the cpu's internal hard drive after the batteries are gone remove it and replace it (how do know this i fix my comp once in awhile but you should check tutorials in case im wrong )
