Is the server down?

I just downloaded everything, extracted and all that stuff, but I can't seem to get it to work. Everytime I open it, it says

"Unable to connect to login server. This may be due to a server crash or server check, please check the website as well."

On the site, it says online. But it won't work. Can somebody help me?

if the site say the server is online, then You did something wrong.
Are you sure not of the parts were corrupted? Did you download the client?

There are a few possible things.
1) it could be your anti virus that might be blocking it. (I've had that happen before).
2) a file could be corrupted.
3) your IP could be banned for some reason (If you've played before and got banned that might be the issue).
4) could be your internet connection.

Try re-extracting the files and see if that helps, also check your anti-virus and see if that's the case as well.
