Winter MMV Contest

We'll be lenient on the songs, just make sure they're in the wintery mood.
*for example, "Yule shoot your eye out" by fallout boy has such elements, so there's alot of leeway in choosing a song. the song doesn't have to be cheerful and happy, as given by that example.
OR, use a song that relates to any holiday in winter. yes, that does include valentines day. so if you want, use a love song.
-1st place:

**** Article written about them by the writers
**** MMV and channel will be featured in MO youtube page and some staff members
**** 2 Forum Prizes of their choice *list forum prizes later in the video*

-2nd place
***** $10 NX card OR $10 Paypal
**** Channel will be featured on MO youtube page as runner-up
**** 2 forum prizes of their choice

-3rd Place
****** youtube channel will be featured on MO homepage as 3rd place winner
***** 2 forum prizes of their choice
-Maximum 3 entries per person.
-Must sign up on mapleology and have a minimum of 5 posts.
-we'll have a minimum of 3 judges, including me. here's the criteria (you don't have to make the descriptions word for word):

**Technique - use of effects and fonts. tip: make sure your font fits the theme of your song! [20 points]
**Song choice - does the song match the theme of the mmv contest? [10 points, 0 if it does not match, 5 if it vaguely matches, and 10 if the song/lyrics do contain holiday/seasonal elements. it should be really easy to get 10 points though. they're not limited to christmas, it can be any holiday, and if it's not related to any holiday, it should have a cold or wintery theme to it.]
**Creativity [25 points]
**Effort [25 points]
**Mood [20 points]
**Bonus points {maximum of 5 bonus points per judge, awarded at their discretion for any reason, but the main reason should be if the MMV moves them, speaks to them, or captures their attention in some way. in short, if it really impresses a judge.}
if you're going for a cheerful song, it should get people worked up. if you're going for a sad song, it should move them. etc.

*Video must be made within November and December. Any video made prior to November will be rejected. so make new videos!
*Judges will not be biased towards animations. If you prefer to use game footage, go ahead!
*Judges will not be biased towards overuse of effects. in fact, this may hurt your score. Make sure your use of effects makes sense!
*penalties
minus 10 points if you don't sign up at Mapleology and make at least 5 posts.
minus 10 points if you enter past the deadline.
